This is my learning experience in the hospital from medicine postings from 12-2-23 to 13-4-23


First 15 days of my postings - peripherals 

First 5 days (12-2-23 to 16-2-23) -ward duties
 Under Dr Deepika mam (pg )

- made pajr groups for ward patients  
- attended rounds of every admitted patient 
- updated the fever charts  and soap notes in ward , made sure that icu patients fever charts and soap notes are updated and shared  in respective pajr groups 
- I have attended a session with one of the amc patient  with DR Raj Kumar sir and made a PNI report of that patient 

Nephrology duties-(17-2-23 to 21-2-23) 
 Under Dr Nishitha mam (pg)and Dr kranthi sir(pg)
-Assisted in a central line procedure
-Monitored Blood Pressures of the patients during dialysis, in the CKD ward
-learnt about the pulmonary edema in ckd patients
- did my first ascitic  tapping 
-I have learnt the  working process of dialysis machine and different complications in different patients during Dialysis 

ICU duties-(22-2-23 to 26 -2-23) 
Under Dr pavan sir (pg)

-Monitored vitals of the patients
-Watched 3 central line procedures
- helped in 2 intubations for icu patients
-Took venous blood samples of patients
-Took ABG s and learnt interpretation of abg
- placed ryles tube in icu bed -6 patient
-learnt about the working process of ventilator machine and it’s importance 



During units duty - for next 1 month

On first day I got to know my respective  unit patients And their present condition and their management .

 On op days I took history of different patients  and learnt how to analyse and what necessary investigations to be adviced

I learnt clinical examination  and  ecg and x ray  interpretation of admitted and op basis patient 

Learnt ,During admission of patients how to council the patient and patinet attenders

During casuality duties -I have seen emergency cases and did CPR and assisted in intubations

Under the guidance of pgs (dr Ajay Kumar sir and dr Nishitha mam ), I did ascitic and pleural tapping of one of the patient

Learning points -

-Management of hypokalemia

 - ADA and it’s importance in diagnosis of tb
- empirical ATT and it’s dosage 



Last 15 days -psychiatry postings 

-Listen to different patients with various psychiatric problems 

-learnt about the deaddiction program 

- seen cases of depression and anxiety
